About Us:
At the Human Rights & Anti-Crime Association (HRACA), we are dedicated to upholding justice, promoting human dignity, and combating crime through proactive engagement and systemic change. Founded on a comprehensive set of principles, our mission is to create a society where human rights are universally respected, and every individual can live free from fear, injustice, and discrimination.
Our Vision: – The HRACA focused on human rights protection, social justice, and anti-crime efforts envision a world where the fundamental rights and civil liberties of all individuals are not just recognized but actively protected and promoted. Our work aims to empower citizens, foster accountability, and build a robust framework of justice that serves everyone, especially the most vulnerable.
What We Do: Our Core Objectives
The HRACA work is multifaceted, addressing various critical aspects of human rights and anti-crime efforts. Here are the key areas we focus on:
- Combating Injustice and Corruption: The HRACA actively monitor and report acts of injustice and expose functional irregularities or corruption within government departments. We take urgent steps to investigate and address issues such as bonded labor, child labor, custodial deaths, consumer exploitation, police atrocities, rape, and sexual harassment.
- Legal Empowerment and Awareness: The HRACA organize legal awareness camps and educate citizens about their constitutional rights, ensuring they understand their entitlements to live with human dignity. We also spread awareness about alternative dispute resolution mechanisms like arbitration, conciliation, mediation, and Lok Adalats, promoting efficient and accessible justice. This includes guiding citizens on resolving disputes related to essential services like electricity, water, banking, and telecommunications through Permanent Lok Adalats.
- Protecting Vulnerable Populations: A significant part of our efforts is dedicated to the protection of human rights, particularly for Dalits, women, and other disadvantaged sections of society. We also work to counter illicit financial activities, including anti-money laundering (Hawala) operations.
- Environmental Safety: The HRACA is committed to issues related to environmental safety, recognizing its direct impact on human well-being and rights.
- Building a Just Society: The HRACA strive to ensure basic human rights are respected everywhere, working towards structural changes that fulfill socio-economic and political aspirations while protecting ethnic, religious, and cultural identities. We promote health awareness and link communities with healthcare entities.
- Fostering Democratic Values: The HRACA educate people about their fundamental rights and civil liberties, fostering democratic values by organizing seminars to raise public consciousness. We support public dissent and those fighting to defend their religious, cultural, linguistic, and ethnic identities against oppression.
- Promoting Judicial Independence and Media Freedom: The HRACA advocate for the independence and impartiality of the judiciary and the freedom of the press and other mass media, recognizing their crucial role in a democratic society.
- Combating Draconian Laws: The HRACA mobilize public opinion against draconian measures and “black laws,” striving to secure the rule of law according to internationally established norms and standards. We also work for the right to access information.
- Global Collaboration and Outreach: The HRACA establish local and overseas chapters and collaborate with national and international organizations that share our mission. We also aim to comprehend national and international problems in their depth, countering misinformation and false propaganda.
